Experience

As someone passionate about growing both personally and professionally, I have made it a priority to stay actively involved in opportunities that strengthen my public relations skills. At Auburn University, I have served in multiple leadership roles within the Student Government Association, including Executive Secretary of the Senate and Director of Auburn Answers, where I developed strong communication and organizational abilities. I am also an active member of Chi Omega, serving on the Cardinal Cabinet as Parents Weekend Chair and previously contributing to the freshman recruitment team. In addition, I studied abroad in Italy through the Joseph S. Bruno program, where I served as a Student Community Coordinator. In this role, I designed and implemented initiatives that fostered meaningful connections between Auburn University students and local Italian residents through inclusive, community-centered events, further strengthening my global perspective and passion for impactful communication.

Student Government Association

During my time in the Student Government Association, I served as Secretary of the Senate, where I managed official records, organized communications, and ensured transparency across legislative processes. I also held the role of Director of Auburn Answers, leading efforts to connect students with campus resources and improve accessibility to important information. Through both positions, I strengthened my leadership, organization, and strategic communication skills. These experiences allowed me to play an active role in enhancing the student experience at Auburn.

Coordinated monthly tabling events on the concourse with Auburn Answers, creating an approachable space for students to stop by, ask questions, and connect with helpful campus resources.

As Secretary, I documented Senate proceedings, maintained accurate meeting minutes, and supported legislative operations while coordinating closely with the Executive Team.

Event Planning Director – Chi Omega Parents Weekend

As Event Planning Director for Chi Omega’s Parents Weekend, I led the planning and execution of events designed to create a welcoming and memorable experience for families. I coordinated logistics, managed budgets, and collaborated with vendors and chapter members to ensure every detail ran smoothly. Through this role, I strengthened my organizational and leadership skills while fostering meaningful connections within the Chi Omega community. The experience allowed me to bring a large-scale event to life from start to finish.

Above is the setup before the main cocktail event of Parents’ Weekend, where we hosted over 800 guests. Through this experience, I learned how to coordinate large-scale logistics while effectively managing time leading up to the event’s start.

Being part of a team of women taught me invaluable lessons in leadership, accountability, and collaboration. At a young age, we successfully planned and executed a large-scale event while balancing demanding course loads and other extracurricular commitments.

Joseph S. Bruno Auburn Abroad in Italy

While studying abroad in Italy, I earned an international minor in Human Sciences, broadening my understanding of culture, behavior, and global perspectives. I also served as a Student Community Events Coordinator, where I designed and led initiatives that connected Auburn students with the local community through inclusive, meaningful events. This role strengthened my cross-cultural communication skills and ability to plan events in a global setting. Overall, the experience enhanced both my professional skills and personal growth.

Each pair of students was matched with an Italian host family to meet with throughout the semester, creating a meaningful opportunity for cultural exchange. Despite language barriers, we built genuine, lasting relationships through shared meals, conversations, and experiences. These interactions pushed us to communicate in new ways and deepened our appreciation for cultural differences.

We had the opportunity to connect with students at a local high school as part of our community outreach efforts, where we shared and celebrated both cultural differences and similarities. It was such a fun and meaningful experience to engage in those conversations and learn from one another. The bottom photo captures my cohort, who quickly became like a family to me. It was an incredibly special time filled with both personal and professional growth.
